Anatomy & Physiology (A&P) is a requirement for completion of our massage courses (including hot stones) if certification is required. It is very important when working on a client to have an understanding of the bones and muscles we are working with to preform the best treatment, and in return giving maximum results.
This course is suitable for beginners or therapists that would like to refresh or extend their knowledge of A&P. There is not a test, and you can work through the unit book at a pace that suits you. When you are ready you will complete 5 assignments and submit them to be marked to your personal tutor. This course is very flexible around child care and work commitments.
Entry Requirements: Suitable for beginners and therapists wanting to extend their service skills. Learners must be 16 plus.

Will I need any materials? On enrolment you will receive a training unit manual complete with the five unit assignment assessments. Contained within the unit book are recommend reading lists but this is not mandatory for completion of the course.
What do I need to know before I start the course? On successful enrolment you will be assigned a personal tutor. They will support you via email with your learning when you feel required. Following home studying of the unit manual provided on enrolment, you can work through the units one buy one in a time that suits you.
At the end of your manual there is an assignment task sheet informing you the requirements per unit to produce the evidence, and knowledge for assessment. When you have completed the assignments you can submit them for assessment. On successful completion of all units a certificate will be issued to aid completion on one of our massage courses.
How will the course be assessed? When you have completed the unit assignments you will submit the assignments to your personal tutor. They will mark your assignments, and support you with feedback for your progression until you have completed* (within a 12 month period)
Is the course accredited? A certificate will be awarded to successful learners who achieve the required level.
Public liability insurance can be obtained through ABT (Association of Beauty Therapists) when combined with one of our massage certificates on successful completion. Next course date: This course is achieved by home study allowing you complete flexibly to when you start. There is not an exam on this course.
